National Director, Patient Blood Management

Joseph Thomas started his career in the Cardiothoracic ICU at the Cleveland Clinic. In 2002 he developed a nationally recognized program built around safer, more evidence-based blood utilization and served as Director of Blood Management for the Cleveland Clinic Health System until 2007. From 2007-2013 he served as Vice President, Program Services for Strategic Healthcare Group and helped establish the organization as a leader in Patient Blood Management. 

Mr. Thomas is now Regional Director, Patient Blood Management (PBM) at Accumen.  He currently oversees PBM Program implementation for clients nationwide and also owns a critical role in product and business development, sales strategy, and overall vision for the PBM product line at Accumen. He has dedicated his career over the past 14 years to implementing world-class Patient Blood Management Programs, saving hundreds of millions of healthcare dollars and making patients safer throughout the country.
